Is it just me or does Sam's demeaner, voice and the way he talks seem eerily similar to Mark Webber?

Just checked the guides. Unfortunately not live. There's what appears to be a half hour of highlights 1.30-2.00pm Tuesday arvo on channel 506. Might have to try and hunt down a live stream for the weekend.

Actually I saw some footage of Webber at Spa and he is sounding like he's south african again, like really noticeable. I cant help bit think its the german/european influence

Not that I have a lot of experience with this, but when I was in New Caledonia for the rally there I found it weird to be interviewed by people who had English as a second language. Because I was trying to make myself understood by the interviewer, I sometimes ended up speaking some weird Aussie / French-accented pidgin which comes across really weird on the coverage.

I think sometimes that's where these weird accents from Aussies overseas come from.

Yeah, I knew you were going to bring that up. I just think he's been talking to Italians all day and adopted their cadence to help make himself understood.

The funny thing with Miller was that was at his first race, but his accent went back to normal the longer he worked with them. Maybe he was over there initially by himself and then once he was established he had friends or family with him.

British Eurosport stream here: http://cricfree.sx/euro-sports-live-stream

Supercup season preview is at 10.30am UK time Sunday, followed by the race. I believe that's 7.30pm AEST.

Foxtel gets the regular Eurosport channels, rather than the British versions, which is why we don't see the race live unfortunately.

Medium start with P17...

A bit of a gap to the front, can only get better I hope.. :)

P15 a bit closer to the pace... Still need to find 1.2s

I reckon that's mighty impressive considering new team & car, bugger all pre-season testing, learning a new track & against the best of the best in the world of PCC.

given his team mates are 13th and 16th you'd have to say he's on the money.

15th out of 28 and only 1.2 seconds off the pace in the first Supercup round is a very impressive effort!
