Wolf Hall (BBC)

Post by smithcorp »

Bibi and i just watched the first 4 episodes in one hit. Gripping, can highly recommend it.

If anyone has read the Hillary Mantel historical fiction books on Thomas Cromwell, Thomas Moore, Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn (or are interested in Cromwell's role in establishing the Church of England and the annulment of Henry's marriage to Catherine of Aragon), then this series is worth a look. Great cast, great dialogue.

You might need to watch in a darkened room though. BBC filmed by candlelight in some scenes - very atmospheric, but dark.
