Server side weight or horsepower balancing would be a good start.
Good point, in an ideal world the devs should have them better balanced particularly for the GT classes.
Isn't there a disparity between them IRL though? I seem to recall the GTR was a monster in a straight line at the bathurst 12 hour.

In raw terms yes but due to BOP they even them up to try make their lap-times very similar, how they get the time can come from different attributes as you know. ;)

The issue as I see it is sims only deal with raw numbers so unless there is a way of balancing them in other options like KNAPPO said then there will always be a disparity.

Yes of course. I think that at Le Mans, that GTR is just going to have an advantage, so I don't think that's up to the Devs to sort THAT out, they've just made the cars as they are. But I agree, IF we wanted to run all the cars and have them evenly matched, then it would require some sort of power or weight balance to artificially match them up.

If only we could add passengers like LFS ;)

I am happy to run the C9 :P you get such a sense of achievement when you get it right.

Yes it is unfortunate we cannot balance the cars yet, did anyone do some hard laps in each and get a rough time difference? I can't load the stats page ATM.

I agree. But if a particular car is much faster than the rest of the class, it takes away for the spectacle. Like the GTs, the GT-R is way faster than the rest. I picked it because I just love the car in real life and loved when I witnessed it win the bathurst 12hr. But personally, I love seeing a grid of different cars and I think people are going for the gt-r just to keep up with the other bloke who has a gt-r because we all want to win. Nothing wrong there, but maybe we could do something to encourage people to drive the z4 or mp4-12c
I agree as well. I was planning on sticking with the Z4 for the whole series. I'm not fussed about where I finish in the standings, I'm just out there to give it my all and have fun at the same time.
Having said that, I'm new to the gang so I'm happy to go with the general consensus :)

I was going to do some laps tonight but my hand slipped while cutting up a pavlova and I've gone and messed up a finger, so I'm gonna rest it before friday night.
Good luck with the testing.

The pav is fine, thankfully.
What REALLY happened was a family member was telling me off for cleaning the pavlova residue off the knife with my left index finger, which I responded to by lowering the knife as I was still wiping cream off it with my finger, this action then led to me sliding the knife into my fingertip, I thankfully lost no blood, but it stung like a bitch for a good half hour afterwards, it hasn't affected my wheel handling in any way, BUT.. I was then told that another family member that they had a migrane and if I was going to spend "all night clicking that stupid racing wheel" I'd be in serious trouble.

So, I figured it'd just be easier to say "I cut my finger" than say "I cut my finger... oh and mum says I can't race tonight" because I get enough crap of you guys as it is! :D
