The Iwagumi looks so damn good! Can’t wait to see it grow in.
This is the latest from my larger tank (two others now at various stages of WIP).

Re: Home Aquariums
Some of my absolute fave scapes I’ve seen are in nano tanks. The next tank I’m starting is only 16 litres. You can really put together something special in the smaller tanks. You can fit these almost anywhere.

Here’s my tank at work up and running. Still needs to grow in a bit. Another project will soon be underway.

Home Aquariums
I’m sure I’m not the right man for the job haha. I’m currently battling hair algae in my larger tank, looking back at the pic I posted of it here here a couple of months ago, it’s gone down hill a lot!
I have seen people go out and scape tanks. I’m sure they charge a hell of a lot.

It's grown in nicely. I see it grew a couple extra Tiliandsias as well. I seem to have become addicted to collecting those things

Good spotting.
The ones on the right, Tillandsia - Ionantha 'Mexico’ is new.
They were not available when I started this up but I ended up finding them last month. I scored two in the same packet but I didnt see the little baby one in there as well so ended up with 3 for the price of 1.

Re: Home Aquariums
I got some Ionantha mexico's about 18 months ago and they've grown into clumps. They look great when flowering, just a shame each plant only flowers once and it only lasts a couple days.
This is about 1/2 my plants. I've had the one at the bottom right (Harisii) for about 25 years and it's still only about 30cm high.

Re: Home Aquariums
I was reading up on their lifecycle. Its good that they clump and throw out the child plants considering they only flower once.DarrenM wrote:I got some Ionantha mexico's about 18 months ago and they've grown into clumps. I grabbed this plant as I think its got the best foliage and flower of the Tillandsia's.
Thats a pretty impressive collection you have there Darren.

Re: Home Aquariums
More of an experiment at this stage. Little enclosed terrarium with aquatic plants. Everything is still transitioning to emerged growth so I don’t expect the red colour will stay.
