Hey mate.

Not tonight, tomorrow night.

Dates are as follows.

Qualifying for race 1 starts at 8:30PM sharp on each night.

No damage. No 100% about assists, but will get back to you. Do the Formula rookies have ABS and TC?

Cool

Yes and Yes as well as Stability Control.

These Rookies seem to work without any assists but having SC, TC & ABS would mean cleaner racing by default.

Will be on tomorrow. See you all there
My name is Cardo but my in-game name is suppose to be Ricarsa. Sorry for any confusion.

Our races are clean without the assists turned on. It's only Friday night fun that's bash and crash.

I hate to be the one to bring this up, but will there be any policing of cuts? While better, P cars still has some big cuts you can take. Sonoma has a big one at turn 5(?) that isn't detected.

I think you will find Wotto nearly all will be using wheels.

Got Pcars running finally last night and got a few laps in have to say I quite like it so far.

What sort of lap times has everyone been doing so far??

I've managed a 1:01.2 at Oulton against AI, but only managed 1:02's the other night against fellow ARSEs. I don't know if track condition might have been different. My AI was running in the 1:03's.

At Sonoma, I think I have 1:17's, but I don't really remember.

Of course all that will be meaningless when it starts to rain and I expect we'll see some of that tonight. Make sure you know how to pit for a change of tyres.

1:03"s for me at Oulton & Sonoma was 1:19's so sort of ok for getting the game running and botching together a G27 calibration lol. I have had no time to figure much out re all of the settings like graphics etc either :yikes:

As for rain(FFS who's idea was that) and pitsops I will have to make that up as I go as I have left everything to the last min as per usual!!

Basically, you drive into the pits and close the pitting dialog that pops up without changing anything. By default, it looks like the right tyres for the current weather will be put on.

I will try and put together a quick and dirty guide on pitstops.

I have checked the weather and there is no rain forecast for either race 1 or race 2.

Check the race posters in original post. :)

I think it's safe to say that tonight was a great success. Great clean racing, had race long battles with Box and GT and I won!! :P This is going to be a cracking little series. Bring on the next race!!

Aside from being squeezed off the track on the first lap, race one went alright, had a few loses but certainly had fun.
All I remember from race 2 is spinning and having the leading two cars narrowly miss me as they charged by, I then went to the pits and called it a night!

Well that was interesting. Firstly sorry to Cardo for the contact!

Race 1 was interesting putting it in 3rd for the start, and dropping to the back. Drove like a bit of a madman trying to get back, was happy to be able to make the passes I did.

Race 2 was frustrating, almost immediately the Oculus Head tracking was stuffing up, dropping below the surface of the track at the exit of some corners. I had to let Arthur and someone else though, as I couldn't safely drive. It stabilized during the middle part of the race, so I was able to make up time. But for the last 4 laps it went totally bonkers, always moving to different places and making speed impossible. Was very dissapointing as I was close though to make a move on arthur, instead I drove into the pit wall!. Hopefully I can find the cause for round 2.

Can qualifying be 10 minutes next time? I found myself never getting a clean lap, or enough time to make space.

Just watched the replay from race 1. Excellent tussle with Cutter and Doc.

GT, qualifying will remain 5 minutes purely to make it a bit more of a lottery. Did Hylas get pole for race 2?

No worries boss, I was on a high all night regardless. I think its been 5-7years since I raced online and I was just enjoying being on the black stuff. I am sure I will or have accidentally hit some people out there. Sorry in advance if it does happen (im trying my hardest).

I was trying to work out where I could get Cutter without wiping him out but it never really came about. Was good fun though.
