I got a problem. I updated my password both on the forums here and on AACL.net.au the website didn't like it and now I can't login to the site to register for this race. Can I get a password reset please?

Nerdy analysis time  .. RSR records below. These times are all done on the old tyre model too, I expect 57-58 is a quick time in the current version. They should delete the old times again in my opinion. I think the 458 GT2 was closer to its limit and is actually only the same as the M3 GT2 (or slower?). The latest ABS update is an unknown for the GT3's aswel, they may have lost a little bit of time.

458 GT2: 1:55.1
M3 GT2: 1:55.6
C7R : 1:55.8

12C GT3 : 1:55.9
SLS GT3 : 1:56.2
GTR GT3: 1:56.3
Z4 GT3 : 1:56.4

No idea how the McLaren MP4 12C will go, but I've picked it again. ;)

Hey AstrO! To me it feels improved in the front aero, which is why it is the fastest GT3 at nurby.

I think I might go the C7R for something different.

Pix, is it possible to split the GT2's and GT3's. Post 1.2 the GT3 lost a heap of DF and is now ~2s slower per lap. I just tested them all and qualy was ~2s and race trim was ~3s difference.

Both laps were 5th flying practice lap in that combo, not perfect laps but good enough to show the difference :magnify:

Don't you worry about that Renz, I'll make sure that I'm going to be right behind you as you cross the finish line, because you'll have lapped me several times over due to me crashing while eating tea like I did at Spa.

Excuse the big posts but I had some spare time yesterday so may as well share my findings in the spirit of close racing. I have nothing to prove and am not interested in winning, I will not be running the C7R if the classes don't get split.

Those GT3 setups wont work as a race setup too well, too much camber on the back. Maybe replace camber with some toe in, open up the diff slightly on coast but drop the rear ride height by 5mm to get some power stability back. I will have a play myself and post before the race. I also was running without ABS as since the update it is quicker not to. The new ABS is cool and more realistic feeling but increases stopping distances if you lean on it (as it should!).

The GT2 tyre model is clearly different and isn't getting excessive tyre wear from the camber. They also warm up quicker AND last longer, clearly a lot of work to be done in this area as they should be softer and wear even quicker than the GT3's. I might ask the question on the AC forum.

The GTR feels a bit broken to me, while it IS fast it bounces all over the shop and feels like something in the suspension geometry is wrong. I don't remember it being like this for the race at Spa. Even so it is still the fastest GT3 in my hands by a few tenths but good luck keeping it on the track for 30 laps, respect if you do

I was away all weekend and haven't had a chance to test yet. Tonight I'll be going through the cars and make a decision. I was just going to do this offline but I'll be happy to practice online if we have a server running. [WINKING FACE]

A server with Stracker. ;)

Because I am out of the 12 month period, mine costs 20c per hour to run, so 24/7 is out of the question. If someone wanted to sign up to an Amazon AWS service and hand over the keys to me, we could get another 12 months for free I believe.

Yes my bad.

I will have a go at a server. I would like one myself anyway, I have some mates that just got got a rig and AC that I would like to train. I have been watching lots of driver training videos so I can learn how to make people not shit.

Well... I've been waiting since March for these nbn tools to sort out my upgrade to nbn... Apparently they have my complex scheduled to be fixed on 30th September.
Once I have 100/40 I'll build a box and you can remotely manage it if you want. Still... NBNco is poo
