Is it sad that when I see a result like tonight's Aus vs Ind game, I'm instantly suspicious that some Indian bookmakers have made a killing.

It's a possibility.. Australia were 15-1 at one point before the wickets started to fall.

Good profit from that.

I really hope not.

What you saw last night was the fragility of the Indian batting order once you get the main batsman out. They have no real all rounders and can fall away fast.

Well I thought I was watching the weakness of the Aussie bowling line up but once the first couple went then it swung to feature a weak batting lineup. Don't forget they haven't had to bat yet this series either, that was evident in the Aussie innings. We should have scored 40 more if not for the wickets falling in my opinion.

Our bowlers are good enough but they have to mix it up and hit their yorkers to work well. But if you look at India's runs scored, they are very heavy top order no matter the series. We have much great batting depth.

It is damn funny that they fail so hard in finals. But at least they make it unlike the Renegades :grumpy:

Khawaja is on fire this summer. He needs to be in the national team in all forms.

I'm sure Uzzy will step on an errant blade of grass and tear a hamstring sooner rather than later. Unlucky bugger.

He's not quite as fragile as Mitch Marsh though or Shane Watson 2.0 as I call him.

How is Kawasaki's bat? It's a bloody log.

The time has really come for limits to be put in place. Keep the 20/20 stuff as it is if really necessary but that is rediculous. A mis hit should be punished not still be clearing the rope. Even the really badly mus hit balls are now so much harder to catch as the ball just goes so bloody high.

Well the ball can't change. It's a set size and meant to be 156 grams but the ICC allow a window of 152 to 163 grams. The bowlers can't go much faster without throwing and the need to limit the bat size in it's edge thickness and depth through the guts.

Look how thick the Don's bat is and the amount of runs and average. It looks like a twig!

I hate to sound like Jammo, but this is a fucking joke.

You see them clear the boundary with a flick these days. Sure it is great as a spectacle, but jesus christ, some balance would be good.

Lets see how that fuckwit Warner goes with a normal bat on a green top against quality bowling. Straight back to the pavilion I would suggest.

I loved watching Viv Richards bat. He'd swagger out to the crease with no helmet and own it!

But oddly enough these modern bats still haven't broken the longest six at the MCG. That's still Simon O'Donell who belted Greg Matthews 144 metres in a shield game :eyepop:

So is Maxwell really hurt or is he being punished for daring to speak out about the great and untouchable Kohli?

Why Norbs I'm usually right and trust me I'd prefer not to be.

The bats are indeed ridiculous but isn't just them. It's the bullshit ropes that've shrank grounds dramatically. It's the roads that pass for pitches. It's the ridiculous rules that've neutured aggressive, attack bowling. Christ on and on.

The pic of the great Barry Richards above really shows the insanity of the situation, he was an artist. The likes of Warner, Maxwell etc are cavemen with their clubs in comparison. More ass than class.

Artistry.. There wouldn't be a Batsman currently playing that can compare to Barry and of course in the peerless case of The Don there never will be.

Good game to finish BBL5. Only 3 20/20's left and it's all done :(
