Hey ARSEs.

Just picked up a 480G SSD and wanted to put some of my steam games on it.

Is this possible? Easy?

The only way I have been able to do is install Steam on the drive and redownload the games again.

Sucky I know.

You can do it Norbs & it's not that hard... Search the steam community to find the answers as I just can't remember the steps right now but it is something like;

iirc move the game files to the new driver under a steam/common/apps folder.
Then open the steam client & right click on the game(s) you moved & open the settings (or whatever it is called).
One of the tabs shows the folder location, you can then change it from the old folder & point it to the new folder.

I also think somewhere in the steam client you have to set up the new drives steam folder as an alternative steam directory.

1) Go Settings->Downloads->Steam Library Folders->Add Library Folder and make a new folder on the new drive
2) Copy games from old steamapps folder to new library's steamapps folder
3) Uninstall game
4) Install game and select new library as destination.

It'll discover the existing files and the game will be marked installed without having to download anything.
