Is anyone else still playing this? I keep an eye out for ARSEs, but rarely catch anyone (the time differemce does make it awkward).

I'm working my way to amateur status - now at Level 20, HCap +1.

I was playing it until lately, i am lvl 20 +10, nickname is Jumi2.

Weeeeeeell, but now i found Links 2003 and its more fun for me... with real time swing and all that, you can make courses, and own rules for playing, it supports 8 people at the same time and looks better.

Hi bauer, maybe you can help me.

I got me and some mates links2003, we have patched it to 1.02 and then to 1.05 but we cannt join with each others games.

We tried over matchmaker and direct ip, no chance... we see the game but if we try to connect we only get a error, like no game found, after sometime...

We tried without FW and i can host any game on my pc, never had trouble like this...

sorry J2. i cant help you. my above comment was a tongue in cheek shot at links to point out that though it may play a better game of sim golf, it is the multiplayer aspect of shot online that makes it so enjoyable.

I think Bluey is the resident links guru. If he reads this, he may be able to help.

ok Jumi i've had that prob before but cant remember how i solved it lol

.............from what i can remember i think the best thing you can do is try to get one of your other mates to host and see how ya go (dunno if you've tried this already) when this happened to me it was just the 2 of us and i had to get the other guy to host and we connected no probs.....then i tried with another m8 and had no probs hosting....weird.....so i suggest trial and error till ya getit right......i've been playing Links for alotta years and that was the 1st time i had anything like that happen with any version of Links. any time ya need help with Links just PM me. only to glad to help

Well are 4 people, i can host, no one can join, same with one friend, another one can host, but only i can join... so we gotta try out the two other possible hosts i guess

What is the best way to connect? direct ip? matchmaker? we even installed all that zone crap and had the same troubles...

we will get there i guess...

from experience i'd say that direct ip is the way to go. I havent had a lot to do with matchmaker, but used it a couple of times successfully and played alotta games on the zone but its not the best. i would like to join you and your mates for a game sometime, maybe we could work out what the prob is. maybe if you have ICQ we could communicate on that or even better if you install Ventrilo we can chat live as we play. think about it and lemme know a time when we can play
