Re: Zwift.
So I was reading your blog Norbs about you doing the HDR. was wondering whether you have solved the low frame rate issues?
The spec of your laptop looked pretty reasonable from what I could see, especially compared to the min/max specs listed on the Zwift website. If V and I are heading down the path of getting a Zwift compatible setup we'll need an appropriate laptop as well as a trainer.

Hold the phone Carlos. I just ordered an Asrock Beebox today. And the other night I was running at highest resolution. My error.

Re: Zwift.
lol, can't see that happening any time soon. I've been using the bodgy trainer while watching Bojack Horseman on netflix. 5 episodes in I still can't quite last a full 25min episode. Maybe I'll get you on handicap as my fitness improves
It's ready for pickup so I'll probably go grab it tomorrow evening
Grabbed a garmin ant+ stick from a bike shop. The LamaOz guy hasn't had any stock.

Go Darren good stuff......you will be surprised with how much longer you will be able to go with Zwift especially with the smart trainer.......much more of an immersive environment to keep you motivated.

First group ride, wasn't what I expected.norbs wrote:See a few guys out tonight.

I was keeping pace on the first and most of the second lap but all of a sudden I was out the back. The leader was calling for a regroup but that didn't happen.
Ended up finishing with another smaller group.
Will do it again now that I know you have to keep up the front. Next week I'm in NZ for work so I'll look to join the week after.

Not sure about stressful but in a large group I sometimes loose my avatar which can make thinks a little confusing!!CLP wrote:Sounds like pretty much all my real life racing.. except more successfulBrett_S wrote: I was keeping pace on the first and most of the second lap but all of a sudden I was out the back.
Joined into a ride/race last night ODZ Decaf Coffee Ride on the Watopia Hilly coarse with 50+ riders....They ride as a group for two laps, then the last lap and a half (they do the KOM hill twice second time being the finish) is a flat out sprint to the end. They aim the ride at C & D grade riders for which you have to nominate. I entered as a C grade......Have to say pretty pleased wit my result being my first ever Zwift group/race ride. 4th overall and second in my class. Overall places were taken out by two A grade riders.....hung with them till the last climb.

Yeah, I am not unhappy with it. We had been out on the road trying to get a wind assisted KOM for a mate just before that and my legs were sore. The idea was just to have a gentle spin to loosen the legs, but I saw Shane and decided I would say hi.
My Twitter was going nuts when it happened. I couldnt understand what was going on.
