What is your favourite car in any racing game?

Been chatting to a young bloke who lives near me about sims a bit lately. I made him up a Arduino dash for iracing so he has spent a bit of time here.

We are currently debating the best Sim car to drive.

He says the V8 in iRacing. I drove a V8 in iRacing and hated it.

I gave him a run in AMS and he is now a fan. He is raving about the Formula Retro in AMS.

For me, it is either the Formula Vee in AMS or the Skip barber in RF2. The Bac Mono is also terrific in Pcars.

So, to further the discussion, what is your favourite car to drive in any racing game. Sim or Simcade or arcade.

At the moment it's the Nissan GTP in iRacing. Brutal performance in a fairly basic car that doesn't require much fiddling with setup. Manhandling that thing around Sebring is amazing.

I would say of all time, the FOX from Live for Speed or the FF1600 from netkar Pro

The AI in AMS is pretty good. Way better than AC and not quite as good as RF2 IMHO.

2 very different cars but it's a toss-up between the FOX in live for speed and the Alfa GTA in Assetto Corsa

Well, as a known cheap arse, I think it is great value for money.

FOX from LFS as well here. Just seemed a great balance of power and handling which led to some great racing.

The IRacing Radical is probably my all time favourite.

But it's a hard call with all the great sims, content & mods around.

The Nissan GTP in iRacing is right up there for me. It's amazing. Also there's a good mix of Corvettes in AC, iRacing, PCars and I really enjoy them.

From a physics perspective for me the McLaren MP4-30 F1 car in iRacing is the best I have experienced.. That Nissan GTP is good and one of the better iR cars but the tyre physics of that F1 car feel like Niels from AMS worked on them.. The current iRacing SRF is pretty good too but that changes nearly every build. Nothing in iRacing is really "fun" though.

As for the most fun car I can't really decide between the BMW's in AC and the FZR in LFS :P, nearly all the cars in AMS are fun too..

I have tried rF mods and rF2 but they feel a bit lifeless to me (like half of the iRacing cars), though I have heard that rF2 skippy is bloody good and I haven't driven that.

We raced the 1M stage 3 a few weeks ago on FNF. Its a handful.

LFS Fox for me too, also the PCars BMW M3 is a great choice for pick up racing.
AC I'd say the SEAT coupe mod

The stage 3 is a death machine, standard 1M I like. It is very balanced and drifts like a boss if you want it to. Need 1080 degrees to appreciate it fully

Oh I just thought about oldie codies gems like BTCC & CMR (Colin McRae Rally) on the PS1(iirc).
For pure enjoyment factor they are way up there.

Lotus 49 in GPL was the car I would look back on and say I enjoyed the most. Also the hardest sim too. Learned a lot there by doing GPL rank type stuff

next would be the Subi in RBR

Once I was half decent at GPL I loved racing the Cooper because I could keep up with less experienced people in faster cars by thrashing the knackers off it.

I also had a maxxed out Impreza 22B in the original PS1 Gran Turismo that was mental. It would kill a set of tyres in 2 laps but I'd be so far ahead I could afford a pit stop and still win My mate had a similar MR2 in it and we swapped cars once for a head to head and they were undriveable!
