Friday Night Fun - Other games.

Post by norbs »

Looking at a bit of a change for Friday night Fun.

What other racing games that work online do you own?

Might see if we can mix it up a bit.

Wouldn't mind giving rF2 another go, even though it means no VR and buying a multiplayer subscription. There's plenty of content to try before even getting to mods.

Rallycross in Dirt Rally would be fun but I think it only has 6 or 8 car grids?

I went Dirt, GTA and Wreckfest as they were the only ones on the list I own.

I reckon Wreckfest & GTA would be a lot of fun.

GTA is pretty good nowdays, Got the Mclaren F1, 787B, some LMP1 cars, Couple of Trophy Trucks, Quattro and Stratos added in a recent update.
I make races for a few mates and you can link them up to make a series pretty easily.

Or we could see what happens when we put Norbs into a server full of Russian greifers.

GTA = Grand Theft Auto.

Or is this something else with the same initials that you guys are talking about?

Unless Norbs spelt GTL wrong, then no.

I vote LFS.

Dirt rally is only good for 8 spots. They should open it up and allow silly rx cross fields or mass rally events. Would be awesome passing cars in Wales :)

Otherwise id prob buy pcars for the price i can get it on cdkeys now.

For GTA, if you want some racing inspired tracks, look up Broughy1322. (I'm not sure you want GTA for racing but just incase).

Possibly. It's an open world shooter. Follow the story, but do things your way. Just doing the story and not much else will still net you at least 30hrs of gameplay.

norbs wrote:Controller support etc up to my standards?
Keyboard and mouse.

People have proven you can drive cars in GTA V with a steering wheel and pedals, but I've never tried it myself.

I play with Keyboard/mouse for on foot and use Xbox controller for driving/flying.

Norbs, you can go to a stip club and pay for lapdance........ Which is sort of unsettling :D

But I have redtube! ;)

$71US on Steam, it may have to wait.

Will also need to investigate how to set up servers for these games.

Fired up LFS last night and damn Westhill is a sweet track now. If they let people mod the thing there could be some cool things come from it.
