Fuck what a day for cricket! :vibes:

That was a better days test cricket. Didnt see it all but when I did watch they struggled. But a first innings lead with 4 wickets in hand.

I'm still shocked at what Lyon did. I hope he had someone at home recording it. I know they call him GOAT but I find him very hit and miss and now he has the best bowling figures of any visiting side to India! :eyepop:

145 runs ahead. They are looking more comfortable.

New ball for the Aussies.

Starc gets 2 in a row but misses the hat trick.

This is so much better to watch. Test cricket should be a test. Runs hard to come by. So much better than watching balls sailing over the fence every 30 seconds.

Spot on need to be more in the pitches around the world. Starc is such a frustrating bowler, bowls like shit for most of the innings. pick up the last 3 fast will still leave a hard chase

Oh jesus, that was like the MCG in the 80s. Ashwin bowled by a fucking squash ball.

They had a go, have to respect that. Had to just hope they got enough runs before they were picked off on that pitch.

Pitch looks like a mud bath.

Our pitches are like roads though.

Where are the old pitches that bounced and swung early and fell apart on day 4/5? Grumble grumble old fart boo.

I hope someone punches someone in this test.

India prepare their pitches to best advantage India - they only care about winning and their reputation/egos. Naff all people turn up anyway so length of game and fair contest do not matter a snot to them.

Australian pitches prepared to maximise the length of the game to increase TV revenue and gate takings - even if that means Australia may lose we sacrifice our home ground advantage (though often win anyway) to chase the almighty dollar.

Great start for the Aussies..

Renshaw then Smith and Maxwell have put us in a great position!

Yep, brilliant effort.
I think they must have locked Maxwell in a padded cell and only fed him rice and bread for two weeks for him to be this calm.

It was wonky before lunch but good after. 300 in a day should always be the mark. Just to see that score does something to the opposition. But 299 is almost there. India seem flat after Kohli left the field.

Runs on the board is vital, batting fourth is going to be super tough.

Absorbing cricket today. Pitch isn't being a big issue as many thought on day 1
