Wait, what? The brain? I would think the CPU is the brain, the motherboard, possibly the head.

I think it's safe to say that the brain wasn't on the other end of that Skype chat.

I was a little surprised that my IT guy had not heard of 'mobo' - it's not obscure terminology is it?

Nope, its a pretty common slang term for the motherboard I thought, pretty much the default.

I always referred to the mobo as the backbone.
