It's a fast turn around though. They are very quick on delayed onset concussion now days. It might explain yesterday that he could pass the immediate test but it rattled him. Wake up today and he fails.

I wish it wasnt. The TdF and now the Ashes. God help me with the sleep dep.

I forgot to mention, kudos to Labuschagne for that innings. Dropped by another Archer thunderbolt, he batted tremendously.

It was interesting to see Archer actually ask him if he was ok? A stark contrast to the day before with Smith. I imagine the reactions to the day before might have got to him.

Been an interesting, if frustrating days play.

The ball has been zipping around all over the place.

Maybe they should have a rule that you can't be out protecting yourself from being hit in the head. There's a clear difference between trying a hook shot and trying to protect yourself by getting a glove or bat handle on it.

That has been talked about before in junior cricket Kev. Well out here.

I dont think that score is as bad as it looks either. The conditions were clearly in favour of the bowlers. That is a good thing, it is usually the other way around.

I just hope it isnt a sunny day there tomorrow :)

Pitiful.

I see Geoff Boycott was saying the kids these days are only taught T20 and it's ruining the test match play.

A lot of former players are saying that and there's truth to it. I always remember Steve Waugh saying that it took him about 5 years to learn to let the ball go without having a go at it. Now days they want to smack the cover off it. There are a few local comps around these parts ditching 2 day games in favour of one day and T-20 cricket. That can not be a good thing for young players coming through.

Bit nervous after last night. Poms showed some fight after the openers went in normal fashion.

It will be a hell of a win if they do it. History is on our side, but I am a little nervous.

Terrible bowling in the 2nd dig by the Aussies.

Lyon missed a run out. Umpire missed a howler. Stokes does it again!
