by the way, forgot to say, tried it this morning. Locked the machine up time and time again. 3 different video card drivers. So no feedback yet.

No real triple monitor support yet by the look of it. Just wide resolutions. Odd thing to leave out given how common it is in simracing.

Lots of people getting caught out by them making manual engine start the default. Hopefully they've done proper controller mapping support this time so you can actually map everything.

399.24 is supposed to have optimizations for ACC. NFI why they would recommend an old driver.

I had to install 399.07 or the BFV beta wouldn't even launch. Ridiculous.

I might stay in the trenches before heading out to No Mans Land.
Just got my system stable after a GPU upgrade.
But I'll buy it for now.

Latest Nvidia drivers here. No crashes or weirdness, although I only gave it a run for half an hour or so.
Check game file integrity in Steam if you're just getting game crashes.
Eliminate stuff that is a bit esoteric - disable all but the central screen and see if things stabilise.
If you're getting actual blue screen crashes, then try running "sfc /scannow" on a command line (as administrator). It will check all your Windows files and make sure they're right.
If that doesn't work, try a memory test (memtest86). I'm a convert. I've found two memory DIMMs with problems in the last week. The problem with a bad memory module is that it causes inconsistent problems and can lead to corruption of data on disk. It changed my assumption that the Battlefield V beta was a buggy piece of crap to knowing that it was just pushing more stuff around in memory and highlighting a real problem.

File system is very locked down at the moment, it'll be a while before someone cracks the encryption on the files so the real fun can begin!

Finally got it working, well sort of, and it is pretty good.

I accept there is going to be some pain in EA games, but triples must be pretty common these days, and that is where I am having all the issues.

With only two short days left to wait for the first major content update for Assetto Corsa Competizione, Kunos Simulazioni have released a nice set of rather attractive preview images in the form of some stunning shots of the mega Bentley Continental GT3 and Misano Circuit, the two major new pieces of content set to hit ACC this October 10th.
Slightly more difficult to reflect in screenshot form, the new release scheduled for this Wednesday will also be notable for the first pass at supporting Virtual Reality (VR) in the sim - a very exciting development for ACC, and something that is sure to please quite a few of the sim racing community..
Of course this is the first update for ACC since the game deployed into the public realm via Steam Early Access back in September, and it will be interesting to see what other tweaks, improvements and features Kunos can add to an already very impressive simulation in the four weeks since it made its public debut.

So I've got about 1 month to decide if I bother purchasing this... I honestly think I am not going to bother as I only use iRacing now & even then I'm very time poor/limited.
May as well wait till ACC is fully developed & on special as by then I should have upgraded to a machine capable of running it in full VR glory.

Release 0.2 brings an update to the Special Events found in Assetto Corsa Competizione.
Most importantly, the previous online leaderboard events will be frozen and sealed, and new ones will take their place, introducing brand new content and game features. We can only urge you to keep driving and trying your best in each event! In this second release, the events will be used to showcase the first-generation Bentley Continental GT3 and Misano World Circuit, both brand new additions to the world of Assetto Corsa.

The first event is a traditional Hotlap session in ideal conditions that is purposed to introduce users to this – in every sense – great car and a track that in its laserscanned form will be new for most simracers – weather seasoned or not.

The second event will shake things up by introducing weather and track surface transition in a 20-minute Hotstint session, where tyre management will play a key role in ensuring a consistent stint on a fast-drying track.

A new game mode: Hotlap Superpole
The third Special Event will introduce a new game mode that builds on the real-world session sequence of the 24-hour race in the Blancpain GT Series. In its original format, Superpole is a two-lap qualifying shoot-out for the top 20 qualifiers. In this event, users will have two laps to prove their skills on the leaderboard starting on a dry track with some light rain in the mix. Make sure you choose the correct tyres before starting off! Which compound will be the best? We don’t know yet.

The fourth event is once again centred around the weather: this quick race at Misano starts in the wet but the rain eases just enough to show a dry line forming: the resulting combination of a wet outside line, puddles and a quickly drying racing line can make racing rather tricky with varying levels of grip whichever line you might take.

New first-gen Bentley Continental GT3
New Misano World Circuit

Jesus. I will have to check, but it was one thing I thought it was doing well on my system.

The FOV thing on triples is fucked.

The VR implementation is a dumpster fire. No kb/mouse for the menus so you have to map d-pad navigation and it's terrible to use. Necessary controls like recentering, UI settings aren't mapable and you can't recenter while driving.

I get that it's early access and all, but you'd think they would have learned something from AC.

Back on the shelf until next build.

Well mine was already set to that, so know idea. Not going to change it back to find out.

I did find a setting to fix the FOV issue. Instantly took 2 seconds off my Misano time in the Bentley.
