The US would need to stop or heavily regulate ammunition sales rather than the firearms themselves as there is just too many in circulation to make any real headway in there fucked up system atm .

It would be easier and cheaper to build a base on Mars than what it would cost and take in time than to get the Second amended .

I have been a target shooter and very occasional hunter most of my life so I'm not adverse to firearms except the ones built for express purpose of killing human beings there is no reason why Joe Public should be allowed to own a semi auto with a thirty round magazine . Even if you must hunt animals if you can't do the job with the first round another twenty nine will not help.

Looked in a gunshop in Las Vegas a few years ago. They had AK47 assault rifles on the back shelf, all cleaned up and shiny, $500 with 200 rounds included, but they only sold them with the modified 20 round clip because they were 'responsible'.
