RIP Vinnie Paul

He died over night aged 54. He and his brother Darrell formed Pantera. Vinnie survived the on stage shooting that took Dimebag Darrell's life in 2004. They made some fine music and they seemed like two ripping blokes. A part of the reason why I play guitar.

RIP

They haven't said how he died yet, but he was a heavy drinker.

Can't blame him for being a big drinker though. The marine the killed Darrell on stage was also going to kill Vinnie. He didn't want to remember it and it took him a long before he started to drum again with bands.

That's sad to hear, I also didn't realise it had been so long ago since Dimebag was killed :(

Awwww shit. :(

I had not heard this news and its kinda fitting that im listening to Pantera's Coysboys from Hell at work right now when I stumbled upon this thread.
Im glad I got to see Pantera live in 2001, one of the best shows ive seen. On par with Slayer.

EDIT: Apparently a heart attack took him. :(
