[PC2] FNF 1 hour Historic Racing Monza 17/8/2018
This is round four at Monza 66 Road course in Lotus 25's, lots of drafting I hope. We might get a light shower of rain for the start of the race but it's only a 20% chance at this stage unless I change my mind

Seems minimum ride heights and auto-clutch off are pretty much required around here. Pretty silly how much straight line speed you lose in a car like this with it 10-20mm higher.

I spent ages trying to beat your time last night. Ended up with a ridiculously asymmetrical setup that could take T1 flat out, but was still 0.5 off. So I loaded your ghost and found it was all straight line speed. Shame because the car drives much better if you raise it up a bit.Boxhead wrote:Thanks Darren, i was quite bothered by what i had achieved, much happier now
No. It still shifts without lifting the throttle or using manual clutch. Downside is it kicks on downshifts so you need to blip and/or downshift later. It's worth half a second per lap though.StanDaam wrote: Will I have to use that pedal with all the cobwebs on it!!

If you go into hotlap mode you can get peoples setups by adding them as a ghost lap. Once you're in the session you click on share setups, click the ghost lap then you have to save it.Cursed wrote:so, tape up the vents, lower the whole thing 10-20mm.. anything else?
80mm ride height all round.
Camber
Left front -2.8
Right front 0.0
Left Rear -2.0
Right rear 0.0
135kPa left front pressure
1 click higher than that for left rear and right front.
2 clicks higher for right rear
35mm front bump stops. Rear doesn't matter.
10/8 front/rear arb's.
Can't remember the gearing off the top of my head. I stole Box's but used 1 click shorter 4th and 5th for the hotlaps. 1st isn't going to be ideal for the race start either.

Thanks guys, I did a short run the other night and was surprised how fast you were. I was hoping some setup tips would be shared but this is the first time ive looked back into it.

I might turn damage on for this one to mess you all up. So much for that taping up!

my set is the set I've run all series (except the gear box) which i originally got from you (Darren) in the forums
PS I've always run manual clutch that's why I'm the one who stalls it all the time

Sorry Pix, I forgot to post the times.pixelboy wrote:What time will the race start Doc?

Practice: 7:30 pmish
Quali: 8:30 pm for 1/2 hour
Race: 9:00 pm
I run a 1/2 hour quali so people have enough time to get in and run a lap or two. I normally let the session tick over but if people are late then I'm happy to run the race as it's own sessions as quali doesn't really mean too much in the hour long race.
