After posting I looked into the track more and turns out they only used that dinky hairpin for the first year. Also found the same shot with the city in the background. Not sure if that would have made it easier or not

Damn & well done guys. I figured it was USA but Detroit just didn't pass my mind. After posting Phoenix I realised the photo was older than when they raced there.
