Scott did nothing wrong rule wise, but god damn the Supercars are a shit category. how can it be in the rule set you can cut 4+ corners rejoin and be okay as long as you don't gain spots. absolute JOKE.

They should pave it and put a drink and snack stand in there so they can have a little break while waiting for the pack to come around.

Oh yes the first comment has disappeared.

It was a troll basically saying "now go learn how to drive a Supercar".

Not surprising that someone said it.

Had some big crashes this year Macauley, not his fault mind you. Though hasn’t set the world on fire in the Development Series like others have before. Can’t knock his machinery/team.

Damn PI gone for 2020 as well as QR & no Sandown 500 either. :(
The 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship calendar has been released, confirming the category’s 60th anniversary season will be contested over 14 events.
Sydney Motorsport Park returns to the schedule as one of three events to be held under lights, joining the PIRTEK Perth SuperNight and rejuvenated Gold Coast 600.
Queensland’s Gold Coast and Townsville street races continue under new five-year deals also announced today.
In another key change revealed on Saturday, the PIRTEK Enduro Cup will open with a 500km race at The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia in September.
A new three-year deal following a commitment to safety upgrades keeps Sandown on the calendar in November, featuring a new 2x200km format that will be used at all SuperSprint events.
The change to the SuperSprint format means there’ll be more Supercars racing kilometres in 2020, despite moving from 15 to 14 events.
Phillip Island and Queensland Raceway have missed out on slots due to the return of Sydney and a desire to consolidate the calendar.

Hey! Bite your tongue! It's the biggest event we have in these parts. It's a good spectator track too.

I prefer tracks where they get past 4th gear

Also dont you have the rural hottest cousin of the year competition there every year? Surely that'd draw more people. Or is it because they only sell 5 family tickets for the 10,000 that show up.

I understand QR going, that dangerous POS should never of been built. Phillip Island confuses me though, I don't get why that needed to go. Seems to get the crowds and has racing the same as any other track.

Not sure if this is everyones cup of tea, but I noticed Russell Ingall & Paul Morris have a youtube tv show.
Its a refreshing change from what has basically become state run TV at supercars on foxtel

It’s a very good show where we finally get independent media coverage on the topics.

The key taboo topics in Supercar land are parity and media. You can’t speak out against the organisation. It was evident how much of a fuck up the weekend was but SC TV would not delve open and honestly into it.

The category officials hid behind the rule book however the fuck up removed the top 5 cars from the race.

Roland Dane kudos to him on supporting independent media speaks very well on this show. He really does seem to get it and what needs to be done. He tears shreds into SCs theory about mistakenly picking up Whincup. It could not have happened. It’s a poor piece of work.

Interesting discussion on aero wash ruining the racing also.

Ingall should never have been removed from SC TV however was always going to happen to accomodate Lowndes who is the complete people pleaser.

Far out the practice 1 times are quick. The qual lap record is a 2.03.8 and they have already done a 2.04.6.

For the Foxtel guys, no Bathurst 4k this year thanks to the Rugby and the Jap GP - who knows, maybe if they get typhooned out they might be able to but only on 506 at this stage.
(In case anyone bought a new TV this week with the hope of watching it in 4k...…..)
They did not promote it as 4k either but neither did they come out and say it was not happening.
