Another way to pay for ARSE

Hi guys, some of you might have seen me mention the Brave Browser in the tech section. It is a pretty handy browser with ad blocking and also a micro payment system using the BAT crypto currency.

I have signed up as a creator to help pay for the forums and domains, and hopefully it will mean I dont have to stick my hand out every couple of years.

I am not telling you what browser you should use, just giving you an option to help out with the payments for the forums and maybe looking at a new browser that not many people know about yet.

Wonder if they have any controls in place to stop people doing a bunch of fresh installs and dumping all the tips into an account. There's was no account setup on the user side. I just installed it and tipped the free starting amount they gave.

It has been talked about on Reddit from memory. I am not aware of any systems in place to stop it, but it would probably flag the publisher if they all of a sudden got a massive amount of tips.

BAT has never really worked reliably for me until recently. Now I'm now being paid to see ads which I'm putting back as auto contributions.

I know it probably amounts to pennies at best, but are you receiving anything from auto-contributions?

Although I love this concept and hope it catches on, I've found the implementation really buggy to be honest. I'm curious how well it works from the other side.

It is working reasonably well. We got a good amount of BAT when i first posted it, but it has dropped off a bit. Still, it all helps, so thanks Durbs.

I use Brave on a bunch of computers, and some work fine, others, like the gaming machine, just dont seem to work for what ever reason. I have this PC set to 5 ads an hour. I have received 3 ads all month!

I've used Brave on my home laptop, phone and work laptop for a few years now and the BAT stuff has always been a bit hit or miss. They do seem to have sorted out a lot of the issues now though.

I tried to set up an Uphold account but I never get their verification emails. Their support wasn't great, they wanted screenshots of my inbox and spam folder because they presumably just didn't believe I wasn't receiving them

I've got all my Brave browsers synced now so my BAT has jumped up. You should see vast sums of money pouring into the ARSE account from me now.
