As a Hammy fan I agree Neil, his penalty was not harsh enough but his mistake did cost him the race.
Same with Leclerc & his unsafe release penalty. A fine is not a good precedent, he still has mirrors on the car & it's a huge safety issue all things considered.

It feels like Gasly won't see out the season at RBR. Talent aside, driving into the back of a sister car does not suggest somebody in the right frame of mind for that seat.

There isn't a great angle of it but to me it looks like Albon tries to block Gasly after Gasly has already started to move across for the overtake, there's not much you can do in that situation and the contact is arguably Albon's fault.

They need to move Gasly back to Torro Rosso for his own sake. They should learn from what happened to Kyvat and let him learn at his own pace without throwing him in the deep end. I think they underestimated Kyvat and overestimated Gasly and put each of them in the wrong cars.

Albon moved over a little, but Gasly didn't give himself much margin for error in the first place. I'm sure this won't be the last accident caused by drivers using their mirrors to block at the last moment.

It's exactly what Verstappen has done to both Dan & Vettel in the past.
While I agree it is the driver behind responsibility to not hit the driver ahead, taking away the only option so late for the guy behind is asking for trouble in my books.
Blame it on the video game generation being able to do such without fear of a lifelong injury or death.
