Re: Supercars 2020
Got Twitch sorted out to catch the BP Supercars series on iRacing tonight. Interested to see the level of the broadcast and it looks like a lot of the teams/drivers are onboard.

Re: Supercars 2020
Scott Mclaughlin has the race control on between sessions. Bit surreal hearing a bunch of professionals ask about whether servers are up etc like it's a league night

Re: Supercars 2020
I really enjoyed that last night.
Being able to flick between the Supercars official broardcast stream and drivers was cool.
Spent most of my time watching Scotts stream, especially at Monza when he was in discussions with his engineer about fuel savings and trying to get it across the line. The amount of lift and coast he was doing whilst still maintaining laptime was impressive to watch.
Also watching Scotties feet in action was impressive, if you were just watching the feet cam you would have no idea he was playing a computer game*.
*With the exception of his Shell sponsored socks!

Just like the real thing. Over aggressive stewards, one driver dominating, and time certain finishes robbing us

Im not so sure, I think it's quite reasonable compared to what other sport leagues are doing.Duke wrote:Think they are being a tad optimistic...

The Bathurst 12 hour is an interesting one! I've been loving going each year, but I got a feeling it's abutious trying to plan a double header, I assume we would have limited number of entrants if there is still entry restrictions

Re: Supercars 2020
There's no 12hr next year sadly. They've replaced it with the V8 finale due to overseas teams struggling to get here because of the virus.

Re: Supercars 2020
I kinda read it as they where thinking of doing a double header?
NEWS: The 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship will conclude at Mount Panorama, Bathurst on February 5-7, 2021. Current plans are for the 2021 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour to be staged on the same weekend, pending further news regarding international travel restrictions

Re: Supercars 2020
It's a bit unclear what will happen to the 12hr. Woodsy is right, getting OS teams here may not be possible. If that's the case then a Supercars round along side local GT3 teams running a 6hr or something makes sense.

That's interesting. The Speedcafe article I saw the other day said The V8's were replacing the GT3's. It'd be cool if they could somehow manage both but it be difficult. Maybe run the V8 races Saturday.nutty wrote:I kinda read it as they where thinking of doing a double header?

Re: Supercars 2020
Well there goes the best event in Australia, but it is at least understandable.
The plan has no hope seeing as QLD has said they won't be opening borders until September. The footy codes are going to have everyone in one place, that won't work for supercars as it's not like you can just move your workshops. And with new cases continuing to appear in VIC and NSW, you can't allow travel from those states yet. And as supercars requires local volunteers who can't be isolated reasonably from the community, it's not like they can keep to themselves.

Obviously if being a Supercar driver doesn't work out, then there's always the back up career of porn star...

The video I got sent to me the other day of her is definitely porn. It's her shoving a dildo up her snatch and squirting the whole time. Hit me up for the link

Re: Supercars 2020
Oh I stand corrected as I thought the service she uses was more for glamour / voyeurism type shots than pure pornography.
Shows her morale compass is not right especially if she thinks the Supercars or any motorsport category would take her seriously now.
If she's smart she'd pocket the money & get rich as she'd just be wasting it to fund her racing career.

Moral compasses are perculiar things when you consider the sources of advertising in motor racing over the years and how lethal many of them are and were. Shock-horror when someone is getting their fuck on though.

Re: Supercars 2020
Back on racing for a bit, thoughts on Bathurst yesterday? Like it was ok and all, but the only real takeaway I have is that they need to start taking significant amount of aero of these cars.. it was clear you needed a very large pace gap to overtake, even at bathurst

The Gen3 are knocking 200kg of downforce off the cars. Hopefully that'll help

Re: Supercars 2020
I thought it was a pretty good straight forward race. Scottie was the only one to really get screwed over by the safety car but Giz's performance in the wet sealed the deal for him anyway.
They definitely need the Gen3 rules to improve overtaking
