Virtual Le Mans 2020

Post by durbster »

Anyone watching this?

They're using rFactor 2 which looks 1000 times prettier than last time I saw it, and with the sounds and Radio Le Mans commentary you just need to squint a bit and it might as well be the real thing :D

It's actually pretty entertaining racing too. Having teams of 2 professional drivers and 2 sim racers is a good idea too.

There's so many big names in it. The only problems I've seen is they can only seen to show numbers and not drivers next to the leader board, so it makes it hard to figure out what car is where. And guys like Jimmy Broadbent can't stream from his car when one of the other drivers is in the car. He can re-stream the official YouTube stream though. He had to remind his co driver not to drive through other cars in the first pitstop like you can do in iRacing.
It was funny seeing Alonso struggling to get into his pit box at the first stop. It was like Austin Powers, back forward back forward.
