Thanks Kev.

Funny how i always look forward to Monaco even though I know it is just a procession.

Let's see if RBR are really in the game this year otherwise I say it's all over if Merc / Lewis beat them this weekend. :bigcall:

Shall we have bets on how quickly Mazipan hits the wall?

Ouch. In F2 Alessio Deledda was 0.6s outside the 107% rule. He finished 6 secs off pole. The first driver to fail to qualify since 2009 but they've allowed him to start last anyway.

Riciardo is definitely struggling and it's only getting worse as the pressure gets on. Especially when Norris is doing much, much better.

What a load of shit. You don't crash at Monaco on purpose, you pretend to lock your brakes and go down a runoff or awkwardly stop in the middle of a corner.
I love how everyone was on a pole lap.

LOL

I did think at first "oh, here we go", but that did look like a fairly big hit.

Yeah why would you risk a 5 or 10 place grid penalty with a new gearbox rather than accepting that you might start 2nd or 3rd.

No way was Bottas on a pole lap. Merc have been off the pace all weekend. Max might have made it though.

It's taken me 30 years of staying up to watch F1 races but I've finally begun falling asleep during them.

As processional as most Monaco races are, they usually have some tension. Cars crawling all over the back of other cars waiting for a mistake to attempt a lunge... But this had nothing.

At least it was a championship equaliser and LH and Merc will need to work hard to get back in front.

That's got to be one of the most boring races ever. The only brief glimmer of excitement in the race was Vettels pit exit and the director fucked it up twice.

Schumacher wedging Mazepin at the hairpin.

I dont think I saw a close battle apart from that. Like Darren said, the only bit of excitement was missed on the coverage watching a slo-mo of Stroll clipping the barriers.

I feel happy for Vettel, And miserable for Bottas and Leclerc, although Leclerc only has himself to blame.

Also, I may have been nodding off, but did Max drift it through rascasse on the last lap??

I for one found the race useful. I re-organised the boxes we keep all the dog's stuff in and threw out a load of old stuff we don't need any more.

The only good thing about the race is what it's done for the championship.

Damon did his best to put a positive on it :D

I see Toto has suggested that if you bin it and prevent other people improving in Q3 then you should have your fastest lap taken away.

Oh and yes it was a yawnfest where the director missed the only good bit!

Toto would.

Lewis showed his true colours last night, bitching about every little thing. He was told to push, and didnt, so it was his fault they got in front of him.

Yep. Didn't see him calling for it when Rosberg screwed Hamilton's lap a few years back. Also Leclerc genuinely crashed rather than conveniently parking.

I think as soon as Hamilton lost position to Gasly and Vettel he lost interest massively. But he was never going to do a lot better than that all weekend. The merc doesn't suit Monaco that well.
