It's quite interesting that all of the teams told their drivers that unlapped cars can now pass and quickly changed it to NOT pass. I wonder if actually there was some miscommunication on that message and it should have been the case that the cars unlapped earlier than they actually did and by the time Masi realised the teams hadn't actually done that he only had time to let 5 of them go through to get the race going.

I do think though that Max would have still won. The lapped cars would not have put up a fight (he would have probably passed them all by T7) and those new softs were probably 3s a lap quicker than Hamilton so he would have got past anyway.
