Black and red At least the colour scheme is correct.

Need some CFD to see where the air goes. Maybe it creates a vortex that stalls the wing above a certain speed? Though I don't think they like turbulent air hitting the wing normally. Or it could be related to how air flows through the rounded corners of the new wing.

What do we think generally?
Personally I really like the look of this generation of cars so far. I thought the FIA show car was a bit cartoonish so I reserved judgement, but the actual cars look great. Far better than I expected actually.
They've come a long way from the dildo noses.

I totally agree, durbs. And more variation than I expected too.

Yep liking it so far. They're not all carbon copies and it's going to be fascinating to see who's got it right and wrong.

I'm loving the different directions each team have taken & the cars look spectacular.
Will be fascinating to see what works & what doesn't with each design philosophy.
Have not been this excited to start the season for many years. I just hope it delivers on it's promises.

That Merc is the absolute antithesis of the Ferrari aerodynamically. Love it.
Yeah I'm enjoying the unexpected, but quite wide variations in cars these regulations are producing.
Cant wait for Round 1!

Sky will be doing a daily round up and Ted Kravitz will be doing a Notebook so they may well be on YouTube.

Big difference between the Haas launch renders and the real car. I've seen the same on the Merc too. The side pods are further forward and some other detail differences between the render twitter pics and the one they were standing next to.

I like pink bits!!!
The main Alpine livery looks great, good balance between pink and blue.
Its wasnt till I saw the HAAS above that it dawned on me that the rear wings look massive when they are a neutral colour. Also, it wasnt till I saw the Merc that the side pods moving forwards looks goofy. Most of the cars kinda hide it with their darker colours but for some reason the Merc and HAAS looks like it has weird proportions due to the cars being a lighter shade and the side pods stand out more.

Red Bull are running a radical sidepod design that wasn't on the launch car

I know it's only the first day of testing and the times don't mean a lot but it still looks like Haas are last.
