That's why Ricciardo was so confident when they did axe throwing a couple of years back. He throws like he's left handed.

Fake it till ya make it!
I was wondering what they were going to do with the far side of the 'structure' and this pic shows it.
Instead of timber they have gone with printed timber.

You can understand why people like Alonso, Hamilton and Kimi seem to be able to sign contracts that say I'm not going to do any of this embarrassing PR crap

Anyone know why they are pushing the jewelry thing? Seems like a stab at LH for some reason.

It's always been a thing but never properly enforced. I guess the new guy is trying to set a precedent now he's in charge. Like firing someone on your first day. Lewis is clearly rebelling against it here with his 3 watches and many rings.

It's nice when you see someone like Lewis has enough of a sense of humour to troll the crap out of the race director like that.

Yeah the car looks much better. Three teams going for the win this weekend would be ideal for F1 in the US.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2022
LH seems to really be struggling at the moment. Normally one to dictate terms to his team, I think last night was the first time he basically said "You tell me". Where as GR told them to wait for a safety car, and it worked out. Then just driving past LH, twice, mustn't have helped the mood on that side of the garage.
Anyone else think that Lando could have driven a bit further to the left of Gasly?

As cringe worthy as the post race shenanigans were I had to laugh at Carlos' facial expression when his interview with Willy T Ribbs was finally over.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2022
Not exactly a classic but a few interesting moments.
Leclerc and Verstappen seem to be in a class of their own. I'm really surprised Sainz hasn't been in the mix.
The dynamic of Ham and Rus really looks like two people at either end of a career. Russell is motivated, driving well, and earning his luck through good decisions. I wonder if he could have caught Perez if he didn't have to swap the position back. Hamilton on the other hand sounds like he's absolutely done with it all.
It was also strange seeing Alonso and Magnussen off their game. Of all the drivers, those two in particular are usually rock solid.
MSC made an arse of some potential points too. That seemed totally unnecessary.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2022
MSC can't buy points at the moment. Said it before, he's not got 'it'. Three laps from the end with your first points in the bag it didn't need any risky moves to survive another 5 minutes. Unless he thought his mate Vettel would just let him through.
Lando could have given some more space but at least it spiced up the race a bit. It's always amazing how a clean sheet design of track layout ends up in a dull race. Hopefully with it being a semi-temporary track they'll be able to design in some small changes for next season otherwise it'll be 10 years of Sochi v2.0
It was so bad that even Perez on brand new softs couldn't pass Sainz on worn hards.
And I'd like to see less of the god awful Americana next time. They looked so embarrassed going on to the podium in those football helmets. And delaying all of that so Max can get a police escort all around the block to the cooldown room instead of just walking up the stairs like the Ferrari guys did. I'd love to meet the people who think these things will be great, and then give them a slap.
If you haven't seen Brundle's grid walk, seek it out on youtube. It was car crash TV at its best!
MB: lets pick someone random, hello sir who are you?
Random grid person: let's just say I'm a social media sensation
MB: and modest too

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2022
The gridwalk was funny. It was one of the busiest I've seen considering the size of the straight. I've no idea how the pit crews are able to work on the cars with all that going on around them, let alone the drivers.
It's certainly busier than the first gridwalk:
Brundle said afterwards that he hates doing it but I think that's partly why it's so good. He has no deference to celebrity whatsoever.

I think you'll find 90% of people on the grid are tools.
