The poster printers at COTA seem to be having a bad day.

They've misspelt DannyRic's name and put Drugovich in the drivers line up instead of Stroll :D

CL and LH DQ'ed. I wonder why their teammates survived? Didnt lower their cars as much or stayed off the kerbs?

Both Williams in the points. Wow

Apparently the teammates weren't checked. The scrutineers chose the top 4 cars to check and no others.

Seems like the officials are allowed to randomly choose cars at any time at any race.
The sporting regulations permit technical delegate Jo Bauer to carry out “at his discretion, any checks to verify the compliance of the cars entered in the competition”.

Accordingly, no cars had their floors checked following the Japanese GP, one was looked at after the Qatar sprint race and three cars assessed in the immediate aftermath of the full-length Qatar GP.
At Austin he checked 4 cars, LH, LN, MV and CL

They got caught out purely by chance.

People on twitter asking why all of the cars aren't checked. Seems like it's a long job to check every car and it would be impractical so they randomly choose some or none at each race.

When I heard the news, it sprung to mind that Brundle had pointed out the chief scrutineer during his grid walk which I don't recall him ever doing before, and then as the cars were rolling up to their position boards after the race, he mentioned scrutineering again and that it produced a very large and thorough document.

I wonder if there was a rumour going round behind the scenes or he'd been tipped off.
