Not a lot of paint like last year too.

I saw a modern F1 car up close for the first time at the Autosport show last weekend, and I could not get over how enormous it was. The last time I saw one they were about the size of today's F2 cars and now they're absolute behemoths. It's almost cartoonish to see in real life.

I can see why they struggle with keeping the weight down, and why a little extra paint matters.

There was a Formula E there too. Pretty cool looking thing, and a bit more sensibly sized.

Looks like they've all settled on the basic shape now then. Maybe that means things will close up. Hopefully.

Everyone is ditching their sidepod philosophies to go with the red bull style.

Yeah & it's the best livery so far by a long way.

Agree.
I like the red on the front wing to make it look thinner and sleeker. Nicer than a full colour one I think.

I've seen a shot of the red bull filming at silverstone. Theirs looks the same as always  .

I wonder if they've listened to Hamilton and built it the way he wants it. If they haven't, that might be why he's said goodbye!
His main gripe was that he was sitting behind the centre of rotation but I that might be because they had to accommodate the extra height of Russell.

About the only standout is the Sauber. Not sure why anyone would expect RB to change. The rest all look similar to last year except Williams. Fez added some yellow. Team Toto added some silver. The rest added some carbon.

mm reports Red Bull will only use this design until Japan where they'll switch to a Merc style zero pod config for the rest of the season because after the first 3 races, cooling is no longer as much of an issue.
