GTR Problem....

I have a fairly decent puter... not the fastest or the most expensive, but fairly good....

When i load up GTR i get to the menu, if i dont wait until its finished loading all the background stuff like music n wateva, and i move my mouse it hangs my puter....

This happen to anyone else? anyone figured a way around it?

That's usually a video driver issue mate.

I cant roll back, i need them for VBS (war sim)

I read somewhere the other day you need to turn fast writes off in the control panel of your video card.

try to NOT use the omega drivers. when i used the omega's with my x800xt all i had was troubles. although the official drivers from Ati aren't that much better!

omega's work fine with everything else.... and there is no alternative.... not until next year anyway... so i guess ill just grin and bear it....

Its quite the opposit, Turn it ON! Thats the thing i heard for ATI cards anyway... And did you try a starforce patch?
And remember to shut down everything running in the background.

Q: The game freezes in the menus, what can I do to solve this?

A: Try turning AGP fast writes on or off in the BIOS and your graphics card
settings. On some systems it has to be on, on others it has to be off.

You can also try to set the apperture size diffrent in your bios, and maybe try to reduce to agp 4x, wich wont hurt performance...
