I can highly recommend this one Astro

Dell are selling them for about $1350 atm. A little more pricy, but well worth it :)

That's a lot of $$$$
Not sure I want to spend that much, I was thinking 700+ was a lot.

If I buy one of these Dell 2405FPW 24" LCD's and get a FusionHDTV DVB-T how will it look and run on my PC? What is the TV picture quality like at this size?

Specs:
Athlon64 3200+ (2GHz nForce 3 Ultra)
1gig dual channel ram (Corsair)
Albatron GeForce FX6600GT (AGP)
400gig Harddrive space (80gig, 120gig & 200gig all WD)

The more I read about that 24" Dell, the more I want it. Stop mentioning it!!! :D
I have a 22" philips CRT, it's great and I can use my 3D glasses while playing (not working with LCDs), but man I'd like to have that space when working...
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

The picture quality is excellent in high definition. Watching Aus Idol the other night, you can see the makeup on peoples faces etc.. It's very good. I've only noticed 1 drawback so far - While watching bathurst on Sunday, when the positions scrolled along the bottom of the screen, it blurred a bit, almost un-readable as it tried to refresh really fast. Apart from that, the picture quality & colour is excellent. Watching a DVD on it is fine. There is more than enough room to have a full web browser page open & a TV box off to the side. Or have 2 full browser screen's open at 1 time. It's the best thing I have ever bought for my PC so far :)

Yeah, I have no idea why they have scrolling positions in the V8 broadcasts. The way its done by ITV in F1 is much better. And the position updates before the ads, they're like onscreen for two seconds, giving you enough time to read the first three and miss the other three. Channel Ten still has a lot to do to improve their broadcasts (True 1080i in all cameras is an idea ;)).

Ok I didn't get the 24" Dell but I did get the tuner card and it rocks. The LCD I ended up buying was the Samsung SyncMaster 930BF (4ms) and it's a very nice LCD.

I haven't seen a dvico to compare with but I recently got a Digital Now card, the DVB-T Pro for $140 and it's very good. Made by an Australian guy and the price also includes express post, had it in Darwin in a couple days.
I didn't see much point in spending the extra for a dvico and apparently most people with a dvico card use the digital now software anyway, also the guy who makes them is active in the DVB forums.

from what I have read and seen, you are probably quite right

however, Dvico was the only brand I could find locally :D

The Digital Now ones are good. but usually more expensive that DVICO.

Good buy Sarsi.

Ultraview is a good alternative too.. its a OEM DVICO basically.

I have never been able to get subtitles to work... maybe it was just me.

proggie is pretty nice... - pitty now i have no signal, i was getting channel seven for awhile there.
might need to get a new aerial while im at it.

Also i was reading about some software capable of stream video from the tv tuner card across a network. Anyone had any experience with something like that?
