Sounds good R8

Hmm... should we maybe have a drunk LFS night? Maybe we could call it the LFS drinking game, maybe in conjunction with that arse pimp event. At the end of every race, everyone has to swig a glass/bottle of something (or something along those lines). Might be better as a transition into a demolition derby event :hyper:

before the pair of drivers first run as an example ill use Hamal and Gusto. the judges will decide who leads. then the driver in this case Hamal, who is leading choose's which car he wishes to drive. then both the driver use Hamal's chosen car.
once they have completed and returned to the start line.
the next driver Gusto can either choose the same car. or a different car
Sorry but that is one of the stupidest things ive ever heard.

Serously i could not care less what everyone uses for there car (its ireliveant ill beat them anyway).

Like for isntance i use the Turbo and if somone is in the Fz50 ill have to use the Fz50 (i dont even have a drift set for it)

The racing line changes from car to car it would be like lerning how to drive a new car right on the night without practice for some ppl

I think just choose the car you like the best and on the straight hope you have enough exit speed to keep up (not hard in my opinion)

You Fz50 punks are going DDDOOOWWWWNNN!!!!

LOL........Ferret ya goon

But yeah, Its kinda difficult to expect everyone to have a drift set for everycar, and not only that, have signifigant abilty to drive each of those sets. Its been said before though, car power has nothing to do with competitive drifting.

I tend to agree, I think your just going to have to use the pro's/con's of your car, just like in drifting normally, the ae86 guys are generally slow through the straits, but can hold more speed through the corners, you often see them leave a gap on purpose only to catch it up once they hit the corners

In d1 there isnt classes, any car V any other make of car. Its also a worry for people who have only drifted one car in lfs (ie me, ive only used the Gtt).
Hz-Lab wrote:place a couple of markers at the start and finish of the straight and make this zone non competitive zone, and the only purpose of this zone is to bunch up again, so you dont go competetive again until the straight is finished and make a speed limit of say around 100kph along the straight? easy
If theres huge straight sections on hte chosen track it shouldnt really be used anyway. For example on the sekia hills course they only use the first two corners and stop at the straight.
Also, 100kmph on a straight can be an issue as well, ie on FEgoldREv just after going under the bridge, you need to hit that corner at 140-150 in order to slide all the way to the next corner.

i reckon the first few corners of FE_gold rev would be perfect, and stop after going through the corner before the bridge. Maybe we could use gold next event.

I am pretty sure its Victorian time... The reason why things start so late is because alot of people don't get home from work till either late or afternoon, and if afternoon they have dinner and relax... i mean who wants to come home from work then jump on a pc and start stressing about racing? + the different time zones.

Blitzer wrote:Righto lads, enough pussy footing around. You want a serious Judge? I'm your man.
I compare drifting to synchronised swimming, only the swimmers would be fat blokes wearing g-strings.

I'd like to judge for 2 reasons:

1. To try to understand how/why/what the attraction is &
2. So I can laugh and make silly comments & generally be a tool

I'd certainly take it serious & try to follow the rules & judge accordingly of course, but perhaps with the "Dicko" attitude.

I won't be around for the 29th, but more than happy to help out any time from Monday 5th of Dec & onwards. :)

Nutty please please let Blitz judge, he could bring a fundemental aspect to the sport that none other could possibly achieve :D

Yay I'm in! :P thanks Acerlyte for being so gracious.

x2 for the server/pass thing.

Oh and if you get stuck on what tracks to use I've got lots of ideas, there are many fantastic track sections for this. Mainly what you want is a track section which doesn't have many long straights so that the cars have to rely purely on the drift to get around. Any other shorter straights are enough to even it out for the cars which are faster in a straight line but slower in corners.

the start of Fern Bay Gold reverse is great start at the start finish line and go up to the train tracks / bridge area
