Ok,

we few from xrt will be testing this out from today, for a little while,

If it is as good a game as PKD has been saying (the bastard has had his copy for a few days now) then I will do all i can to get a local server up....

Awesome - a non pay local server would be a really, really good thing for this game.

Well, that's what the cheat is there for! If you really don't like the career mode then just drop the cheat in and go for it. Although, if you do want to do things the intended way then you start with 2 cars and a few tracks and by selling the 2 cars at the start you can sample a fair few of the other cars in the game already.

I'm really enjoying the Falcon at the moment. In a TC65 world inhabited by Alfas, this thing really does surprise a few people!

Tried the Falcon for the first time last night.
What a fuckin' beast. Sideways out of half of the corners.

Not sure how good that is for the tyres, but hey.

As far as the cheat is concerned, you could create one profile, then install the cheat & create a second profile. Then you've got the best of both worlds.

Hehe yeah, I think the Falcon will start gaining in popularity. It's a demon down the straights and just so much fun through corners. Don't reckon it'd be the best for an enduro though - those rears can't last too long.

ok mine arrived today, took it for a spin in the mini, won the first cup but it took me more than an hour, hehe.
those AIs are pretty damn good (and I'm pretty damn crap), on Anderstorp they beat the shit out of me, I'm 1s slow there

and surprisingly they are very clean. oh, I set it to pro level of course....

my gripes so far:
- Somehow I don't get what the force feedback tells me (yet?).
- the driver does funny things with the wheel...not what I did certainly...(dfp, any ideas? turned all helps off...what I could find, and all sensitivity @ 100 (max) )
- the clutch is there for fun only, it seems. It only matters at start.
- I had to turn down the graphs to get a decent fps with the 3d goggles...a64 3400+ / 1GB / 6600gt

I don't think this will be too popular unless everybody gets nice beefy machines for christmas...

You may have to reverse force feedback effects. You do with the other Logi wheels.
The cheat is available at BH Motorsports, in the forums. You'll have to register to see attatchments.

yes it's reversed - the proggi automatically realized it's a dfp and did that. (nice)
by the way I can feel a reverse FF, it has happened before, this is something else. I guess it's very different from the LFS, and it's just alien at the moment.
I can feel something, but I can't put the meaning to it yet. I'll have to try the rwd cars too....

lol, I was about to ask the question about specs, so my old Athlon 1100 with lil old geforce GT3 card won't quite cut it then I take it, bummer

I have to say, near the end of cup A and a bit of fumbling around with the cheat, I really like the immersion level of this one.
It feels like racing, really racing!

I just hope they did not fubar the netcode part up, then this will be a great great fun to play.

On the grunt needed:
My comp takes it good now, with dx8 mode, and a lot of stuff turned halfway down....without the stereo goggles it gives me >40fps constant (sometimes up to 60).
And it still looks good!

Can't play it online and can have to disconnect optical drives everytime you run it. It's under $50 - cheaper than S2 even. And, seriously, it's a good offline game anyway so worth having alongside LFS.
