Season proposal
Due to my constant editing & my inablity to be sure that I remember that I've adjusted the relevant info on both pages, please keep up to date with the season proposal here. http://www.xtremegamingnetwork.com.au/F ... php?t=3881
Thanks.
Thanks.

err...if it starts on the 15th I'm not sure I can come up with much more than a static html page, as a show-off. It very much depends on the workload and other arrangements, but to write something like the AAL will take a bit more time.
I'd like someone to help out with the design too, I suck at it (we have some talented graphic artists around, anybody willing to take on this one?)
Plus I'd like to know what do you guys expect from the program if possible.
I can host it for a start, that's not an issue.
edit: I'm happy with the time and schedule, but the 40 lapper is a bit strong, can we reduce it to 20? That track is not that good anyway

I honestly don't need anything fancy like the AAL site. All the old ARSE comps over the past years were run with nothing more than threads on the forum and a spreadsheet with the organisers.
I appreciate the work people are willing to put in but certainly don't bend over backwards to get things done. I'm happy with a very simple comp.

Don't go to too much trouble Ysu, as Exar Kun says, something very basic will be perfect. Maybe even just a standings page?
All laps are calculated so that the races will be between 38 & 47 mins, I think.
Personally I love Magny Cours National, but we can certainly change it to Magny GP if you prefer, I was tossing up between the two anyway.
Also it's just a draft, so if the start date doesn't suit, let me know.
Does anyone want penalties, if so what are your thoughts? I'm happy enough to review replays although I think there maybe some issue with players being seen in them if they quit out, not sure.

See how it goes, and if the interest is big enough we can put up a site for registration, results and mailing out notifications and stuff.
Magny National is awesome! A Falcon sideways and over the bump through Adelaide is just mad fun. The layout is almost like an old school GPL track.ysu wrote:actually the magny gp is much better imho.

Yep, was doing that last night and it was the best fun ever. Magny National in the Falcon is the most enjoyable car/track combo I've ever experienced... go the sideways action!!!!Exar Kun wrote:Magny National is awesome! Acutally the Falcon is brillant. Bugger the Alfa GTA, I find the Falcon so much more fun; it sounds sexy, slides brillantly, goes bloody fast in a straight line and has crap brakes... old school scarey death wish racing, that's just my thing!!
Edit: So I am on-topic: I vote for Magny National
A comp sounds good to me. If ya need help, just ask. I've run an ARSE (LFS) comp before and assisted in many (LFS) comps over the years.

Due to the generosity of XGN in supplying the server , we will be conducting the main League discussion, results etc. on their forums.
I hope everyone is cool with this.

While I will never stop browsing the ARSE forum (10 times daily), & recommending it to my friends because there is nowhere that has the atmosphere of here, & I'll certainly be discussing GTL in here, I think it is only fair for the main discussion of this particular league to take place at XGN.
I think that because they are kind enough to supply us with an excellent server, that we should show them some support. It's not too hard to browse to their forum for updates.

Magny National all the way please, the bump and turn owns, one of my favourite tracks.
Great to see a league starting up already. Big cheers to the guys and XGN, thanks.
I agree that a simple but effective site would be all thats needed. Date works for me as well.
I can't justify spending $90 to join up for a year with some of the other leagues for GTL, crazy.
