I acquired the first series recently. it is piss funny, highly recommended. A bit easier to watch than the Office (not as cringeworthy), but so far it has the most brilliant cameos from other actors, including Ben Stiller, Vinny Jones, Kate Winslet. Brilliant stuff.
Oh, and listen to the Ricky Gervais podcasts, they are funny as buggery. Episode 8 had me in stitches on the train going home as they read out Karl Pilkington's holiday diary.
