I say it borders on the sacrilegious to remake or spin-off films of this calibre. Its funny how many people now don't know at least initially whether it is a remake. I seriously hope the studios get financially burnt for perpetrating these travesties.

No the people that poured money in it thought it would make money. The content of the product is irrelivent, only the money is important. As it is, it will probably make money, that does not make it good. DOOM is a shite film, it still made money.

Oddly enough I picked up the DVD of the original the other day, looking forward to watching it again. Also got The Good The Bad & The ugly Clint Eastwood spaghetti western as well :D some light entertainment for the weekend
