more here. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0415306/NASCAR stock car racing sensation Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) is a national hero because of his "win at all costs" approach. He and his loyal racing partner, childhood friend Cal Naughton Jr. (John C. Reilly), are a fearless duo -- "Thunder" and "Lightning" by their fans for their ability to finish so many races in the #1 and #2 positions, with Cal always in second place. When flamboyant French Formula One driver Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen) challenges "Thunder" and "Lightning" for the supremacy of NASCAR, Ricky Bobby must face his own demons and fight Girard for the right to be known as racing's top driver.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
This is the Will Ferrell NASCAR movie slated for late this year, sounds cool. Especially with Sasha Baron Cohen(Ali G) in it.

Why couldn't Belushi have lived and Ferrell have the OD instead?
Lowest common denominator 'humor' of the lowest calibre acted out by the most untalented of lowbrow hacks.
(Sean Penn in 'Fast times at Ridgmont high' makes Ferrell look like an utter retard, and in that role Sean Penn sucks so loud you can hear it even when he's not even in the scene)

Not an A.R.S.E., just a poser, and someone spelled my name wrong.......

hmmm. personally i think Will Ferrell is one of this Era's greatest comedic actors. And i know a lot of people that would agree. Cant wait to see this movie. You dont get a lot of racing movies these days, with the exception of the fast and the furious and the terrible biker boyz , which focused on street racing anyway. i'd like to see another serious movie about racing though. Days of thunder is probably the most recent one i can think of, and thats not the greatest

Yes, it's a given there are people that like him, otherwise he wouldn't have a career.
All I'm saying is I don't like hisa 'style' even remotely and would rather be stabbed in the eyes with an ice pick than have to watch even a commercial for anything he puts out.
(I thought 'Anchorman' was so bad that literally caused me physical pain)

Me too Rod - watched it last night. It was average.
Spoilers follow.
Highlights:
The kids being rude to their grandfather "I'm gonna come at you like a spider-monkey";
The kids' names "Walker and Texas Rangers"
The invisible fire
His Dad scalping the tickets.
It was amusing and Bibi and i enjoyed it, but it was pretty limp in places and needed some tighter editing. Can't believe this movie made it to number 1 in the States.
