Might be people editing the code it puts into the post.
If you leave it as it is it should work fine.

Got an example of a post that's doing it?

Could the referrer reporting be swithced off, Shaun? I'm sure they're checking it, and that might cause them not to display the image.
What browser/system/versions you're using?
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

The HTTP_REFERRER is what I mean. It usually contains the page's address where you've come from, and can be checked against outside linking. Seems they do it too. And it can be disabled in some browsers and can be faked in some download clients too iirc.

Well, as a start you could try another browser.
If you haven't tampered with the settings too much referrer isn't likely to be the problem.
Maybe the blocker is playing up? Try disabling it for a test...

Edit: then images may be displayed from cache. Sometimes browsers do funny things and don't refresh a wrongly cached image - so after emptying the cache it may magically just work...

There are many things that can go wrong.
