Hanging for it too.

I liked a few songs off Lateralus. The Grudge, Schism, Parobola and especially Lateralus itself were good. There were a few self-indulgent tracks in there as well. I've noticed the rumoured August tour dates for Australia have disappeared off toolshed.down.net recently so I hope they're still coming some time around then.

The dude off TripleJ said it's definitely heavier than Lateralus which sounds like a good step forward. :tilt:

Heard the new song. Not bad. Very Tool - funky timing, awesome drumming. Little APCish for the final chorus?

just listened as well, sounds good.

Also, thinking back, I enjoyed those songs on Lateralus too. I'm probably too hard on the whole album, but I think the long-winded stuff soured the taste a bit.

I enjoy it.
Aenema is still the best album by far, its one of my most played cds.
I think its a little APCish, but saying that APC is basically just late tool.

Cant wait for release day :D

The whole album's been leaked - just having my first listen now. Still looking forward to grabbing the CD when it comes out - love Tool's artwork.

Well, it isn't heavy like I had been led to believe it would be. A bit like Lateralus with long slow sections followed by heavier bits. Some whole tracks are pretty slow and mellow too. I like it but it's no Aenima.

The title track is awesome though.

The bass wank at the end of Lateralus itself is worth the whole CD :banana_guitar:
I guess I've read the biography it's based on so I found it immensely enthralling.

I liked lateralus, because at that time it was so diffrent to the other stuff i heard, i was more like a thing you could fall into and be surrounded, not so agressive.
I saw them at Rock am Ring when the lateralus album was released, one of the best concerts i ever heard. Most folks around didnt think that, they couldnt get into this kind of music (typical rockshow audience i would say :p ) Anyway it was a bit like praying and meditating, really carryed me away.
I dont hear it much on cd though, but live the music was great. Lets see how the new one sounds.
Ciao, Jumi2.

Growing on me too. Really like Jambi. Reckon that one will go nuts live.

Had this album for about a week so far, and I'm loving it.
It's not quite what I'd call their best work, but it's fantastic in it's own right.
Wings For Mary.. big thumbs up from me.

The whole album sounds like a giant dirge, but that in itself makes it an interesting listen.

8/10 from me. :D

Actually bought the album today. :D

Artwork kicks arse which is to be expected from Adam Jones but some of the stereoscopic images have to be seen to be believed!
