I don't race LFS much, but a few times i've jumped online to see who's racing, and it's the Gamearena server with the most people and it's all idiots. That's why i love the SCR/PR races, they are miles quicker than me and don't do silly things, it's just like when i'm hotlappingr8response wrote:i was on the server, not 15 mins ago. only one prob that i see wit it.
Supaheli sitting in the middle of the track not moving, just bein a real jerk like the person that he is.
but apart from that it was silky smooth

uuh..... im fast as....
Thanks for the positive feedback and apologies for not getting LFS servers up earlier. I was not aware that it was so easy to set up under wine - while this is not a great solution, it's the only one.
The main problem at the moment is that they seem to stop accepting connections after a day or so, users get the message "Did not receive guest info". There has been recent discussion regarding this problem, I've tried a couple of things people have mentioned, we'll see how it goes I guess. I'm currently running race manager on the two S1 servers, and it crashes as soon as the server stops accepting connections...so at least I now have a reliable way of letting myself know when they're dead - I have a script which sends me (somewhat abusive) emails when this happens.
Race Manager is currently running LFS-Marshal and Welcome message, the others seemed (to me) at best annoying. Suggestions are welcome.....
