Wasn't it issues with factory overclocked examples (from everyone)? I think I remember hearing something about that.AstrO wrote:I have an XFX 7900GT, nothing wrong with XFX. Although a lot of 7900GT's from a bunch of different brands have had issues.

Well I am gonna buy a new box today as my old PC is pretty much fecked.
Intel DualCore 805 (not the fastest but better than my PIII 1.4 ghz machine)
120 gig HD
DVD burner (might as well have another one)
512k Mem (might up that to 1gig for $20)
Onboard audio / video (don't laugh it has to be better than the Gforce 2 Fx5200 I have)
choice of case.
$555 (plus $20 if I up the ram)

Even though an FX5200 is crap it has to be better than on-board. With the amount of ram you are looking at getting you would be better off sticking it in so the on-board video doesn't use up your already limited memory. I'd take a guess an say you won't be using this PC for gaming, if that's the case then it should be fine.fourthof5 wrote:Onboard audio / video (don't laugh it has to be better than the Gforce 2 Fx5200 I have)
PS I'm using an FX5200 at work to drive 2 x 17" LCD's.

No I don't do a lot of gaming at all. Usually because my old PC just wont cope with all the new stuff. But your suggestion for using the of FX5200 is a valid one.

If you mean the 7800gs, yes I have that for a while now. Pretty quickRighteous wrote:Have you got your card yet YSU?
Shame it costs so much, but I was in no position to upgrade mobo/cpu/ram/video just for a pci-e card.
Edit: sorry it's a 7800, not a 7900
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?
