Hi all, I just made an :aussie: ARSE of myself. I've been playing GPL in single player since it's release. I've just lashed out and got myself broadband, and have been playing GTL with the XGN boys. I'd love a go at GPL online. Is there anything happening? :burn:

Hey Fate welcome to ARSE :)
we have a small bunch of hardcore GPLers who usually get together on a Tuesday nite around 8.30pm Melbourne time.
we usually meet in the ARSE chatroom in either iGOR or VROC. (just create new room called #ARSE in iGOR or ARSE in VROC)
we race the 65's, 67's, 69's and the Thundercars and no doubt the 66mod when it arrives.
we're about to start a 67 comp soon so feel free to join in. hope to cya on the track :)

Thanks for the reply. Will I need to downlaod any Cars? Tracks? I'm just running the standard game with a few add on tracks and updated cars from GPLEA.

ok you've got some d/loading to do Fate hehehehe......1st up get the 65 mod here http://fp.gplegends.plus.com/65modv2.htm

next go get the the 69 mod and GEM+ here http://1969gpl.speedgeezers.com/69downloads.htm

then go get the Thundercars here http://tcgpl.speedgeezers.com/downloads.htm

go and get this small program called GPL Patch Inspector http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=240598

run that to make sure you have GPL patched correctly....when your sure that GPL is patched right install the 65mod

then GEM, then the 69mod, then the Thundercarsmod.

the best piece of advice i can give you is that when your brain starts to hurt from all of this ( and it will LOL),

then don't hesitate to give us a hoy and we'll help as best we can. Good Luck :)

For the moment though Fate (can we call you Fate or would you prefer Prof?), we are about to start a comp in the 67s after Christmas, on the Papy tracks that came with the game. So don't think you have to dwnld all of the other mods straight away. A few will be running this Tuesday night, probably in 67s, but it should be most of us I think from the 2nd Jan.

PS: Is that an Alpine or a Tiger in your avatar?

 Thanks for the heads up. I'll most probably pop in after Chrissy. 1962 Series II Alpine. That's me on the way to the Winton Historics a few years back. Prof or Fate whichever comes to hand. I get both over at XGN.

Theres no worries about that. I've noticed it doesn't take long to lose your edge, and quite a few seconds when you haven't played this game for a little while. Unfortunately I'll be away from my computer this Tuesday.

Remind me again, why am I reading the last few posts? :dead:

I'm sure there is an icon that says New Post, all you need is a catchy title to get people to read it.

Sorry, it happens a lot in ARSE, things go offtopic rather quickly. Slammer (Steve Lambro) and Jazzman (Chris McLeay) are New/Old ARSEs in that they haven't been seen in here for 2-3 years.

Steve probably thought it a bit ironic.
