dunno if this has been mentioned - or indeed if it qualifies as 'photography' site, but certainly very interesting photos can be found around there

Can't be bothered to look through 6 pages to see if this is a repost :) but I found this while looking for some online YouTube tips
http://www.adorama.com/alc/category/AdoramaTV" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Lots of decent videos explaining how to do things or what settings are and how to take certain kinds of shots. Also product reviews for hardware and software.

Some vids are better than others. He sometimes talks a bit too fast and drifts off the subject and also he often says he'll be quick cos they don't have much time in this episode but in reality he has all the time in the world. Anyway, not too bad.

Some interesting shots there. A couple of obvious ones I can think of that are missing but interesting all the same.

DSLR Controller (BETA)
Full control of your Canon EOS DSLR from your phone or tablet through USB !

DSLR Controller is the first and only app that allows you to fully control your Canon EOS DSLR from your Android device with only a USB cable. No computer or laptop required, no root required, only a compatible mobile device, a compatible camera, and the right USB cable.

I cant see the point unless you can do it wireless and use it as a long distance remote. That, I would be all over.

Pretty sure you can with one of the other apps I've heard of. I'll have a hunt around and post back.

Oh wait, my bad. You still need it hard wired. This is fairly feature packed and marketed towards a trigger rather than just a remote so I guess that makes sense. Bluetooth would probably make it too inaccurate.

A mate of mine is helping test it out for accuracy and sent me a free copy. It's called 'trigger trap'.

There's heaps more functions and settings but thought I'd post a few. A lot cheaper than the $700 I paid for my StopShot. Probably not quite as accurate though.

I would love to be able to use the phone as a longer ranged remote trigger. Things like self portraits out in the bush or driving the car would be great. I have a wireless remote, but it is pretty flakey past about 10m.

Yeah I'd really like that too. My mate reckons they are looking into a wireless accessory for this. I'll let you know if I ever get any more info on that.

Why I don't like to shoot headshots at less than 85mm on a full frame camera. " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I mentioned somewhere ages ago that a 50mm gives a comparable perspective on a crop sensor to an 85mm on a FF sensor.
I still believe that is true....not that I own a crop sensor camera.
Before you correct me Dex, I'm not concerned about the lens distortion of the 50mm, just the perspective distortion. :)
