A.R.S.E.

Hi Guys

For those of you that are not aware, Stu (Bauer) and I have recommenced playing Golf online, using the Shot online software and are really enjoying it...

To that end we were thinking that a inter A.R.S.E league maybe some fun

Shot online is a free online game, all you need to do is create an account, create a player and away you go.

At this point, we are feeling the waters to see who maybe interested, thinking that Sunday evenings might be a good time to play...

Okies S1EZ

Head over to their web site mate, process is pretty simple

First, start the DL, its about 300meg I think

Then create your account. You need to shoot them your email address and they will send you back a rego code which is the start of setting up your account.

Once you have it, set up your account.

Once DL is finished, install it and allow it to talk to their server to get all the updates (May take a while).

Then enter the game using the user and PW from your account, create a golfer, best to do the tutorial to earn some monkey balls (we call em that cause we have no idea what NG's stand for).

Then your sweet...

That should get you started...

If we get enuff guys then we would like to run some comps, using the handicaps in the game, should be a blast...

I played this way back with Oggie i think (and with rots and... scottie?), but then stopped when they tried to seperate the Australians from the International servers. I think i had a few characters in the International servers. Have they all been deleted or can i still access them?

Haze and I could access the game using the username and PW we used when we had it before. Haze was able to then use his character from before, I wasnt and had to start again (which we both ended up doing anyway)

Guys

We were thinking that this Sunday evening might be a good time to get together for a hit. We would like to look at a formal game but reckon it will be more enjoyable after you "Newbies" to Shot online get used to the game, for you that is.

Whos available for a hit???

Re a formal games, we were thinking first up a 4 x 18 round tournement, set as stroke using game provided handicaps. Rounds will need to be played with at least one extra ARSE Golfer and results submitted to me or Stu so we can create a leader board type setup!

We will advise more on that as we go, wouldnt mind your feedback on that or any other ideas you have...should be fun to formalise a few games / competitions...

Haze and I still plan on a round tomorrow night around 9ish. Basically whatever time you are keen, jump on and if you see another arse, hook up and go belt some long ones. Adding the list in post 1 to your friends list in game will help you find where your fellow arse is. If you happen to see Bluesman and hook up, prepare to have your arse handed to you on a plate. I think he lives there. He will also be kind enough to help you if you dont know what you are doing. (wont you Dave?)

If you are new to Shot Online and want some audible help, or are just wanting some banter we will be on TeamSpeak.

203.26.94.143 is an internode server in an unpassworded room called Node Gamers. Its just one I found, happy to meet anywhere though.

The best course for us will be Alfheim. Its short enough for beginners, but challenging enough too.
