******AGGOT LEADERBOARD ROUND 1******

Post by Hazelb »

Hi Gents,

The balls have been dusted, whacked around a bit, the clubs stroked, and we now have a leaderboard...

Its now apparent that Ned Kelly is not dead, that hes ditched the guns for a golf club and snazzy shoes, and played his game last night...nuff said... :)

Congrats to those who played round 1,

Already looking forward to round 2 - the home stretch for our first ever ARSE Golf Tourny..

Me thinks by not counting all your shots....kicks and throws...

But you certainly hit the ball well for a longgggggggggggggggggggggggggg handicapper!!

Good work I say...

Well that fucks that comp. When a 28 handicapper shoots 78 off the stick, wtf is the point?

 you crabby old prick

yes Tony is a long way in front, I assume his HC will have dropped but not by that much (14-18 is my guess) and unless during his second round he is being shagged in each nostril by pygmies, he is a dead cert for the Handicap victory.

whats the point you say, ask Blues :D He started at -12 so was giving tony 40 shots on HC. So he does it for fun I spose.

But we do have an OTS champ as well. So blokes like Haze, Norber, myself I guess are aiming for a top 3 OTS and top 5 in HC.

And it is our first comp and rules are made to be revised :tilt:

by the way Steve, you have some ground to make up :D

yeah, I had a shocker of a ninth hole, and didn't recover from there. It was actually a tight game up till that point. Just goes to show, doesn't matter what your hc is, you can still have a shocker of a game.

Im not giving up on this. I was thinking about it in court the other day (no, things weren't going well) and came to the conclusion that Blues is on -12 for a reason. And his score certainly reflects that.

And yes, I am a crabby prick, because I dont think it is in the spirit of the game to play off +28 when you can hit 76 off the stick.

Im not going to drop out, but Im not going to sit back and stew upon it either.

Right, I've had my say, I will get back in my box.

was just wondering whether when do you start the handicap on the scoreboard when you start on hole 1 or at the end of hole 18?

All is fair mate, according to our rules.

The rules will change however, because someone like yourself who obviously hits the ball well, has never completed an 18 hole round to have your handicap reduce.(or if you have it was over +28 off the stick) Had you completed an 18 hole round prior, your HC would have been more realistic.

The rules were thought of for someone like myself who plays off +2. That HC doesnt move if I have a bad round, but will drop if I have a great round. A shame to penalize me (by using my new HC) when I have played a blinder. We didnt consider that someone who can actually play shot online would still be off +28. :)
