I think we are allowing that, yeah. Good point to raise Gordon! We have discussed this a bit. We're still undecided as to whether we will allow warping in the shootout. We may just ask that the driver pulls off the road into one of the 'out of the way' areas and spectates after coming to a complete stop. We will advise soon :)

Lucky last query...

When you say full drivers name do you mean our "real" names, Christian/Surname etc?

(no probs if that is the case)

I hate to do this to you guys, I was really looking forward to this race, but I won't be able to make it. :(

Good luck to all who are racing, I'll see if I can round up a fellow MPR member! :)

Please don't stress if you can't make it mate, wabbit is pretty keen to compete anyway! :)

Yeah First name, then surname. So I would be 'David Butterworth' if I were competing.

Great fun.

Qualifying interview was the best bit, it was like Neil Crompton intervieing Brad Jones. (Had to be there, will end up on cutting room floor)

Race was a blast, all pretty clean and fast from where I was.

15 starters (?)

1 Disco

1 Rage Quit

2 DNF due to damage

only 2 cars (I think) got lapped.

(controversial nulling of a jump start cost me a spot)

The winner said it was a walk in the park.

Sorry for not remembering anyone's names, wasn't the usual handles!

Can't wait to see the finished product. I know i'm in it as i ran into the back of the first pile up (and got king hit by someone 2 seconds behind me, hooray for yellows around blind corners) and then successfully dodged a bullet at the second pile up.

Oh, I got lapped as well, so guaranteed fame.

Yeah good race, but I must remember to pay attention to shit in my qualifying lap so if I get pole I can actually remember the lap and have something to say about it. Also have to try to not tune out halfway through the post race interview totally missed that last question whatever it was :rolf:

We're still deciding whether to post the results or not. Probably not, to keep it all a surprise! (to some)

Haha no, he timed out! Though some speculate he pulled the plug to make it look like a time out.

 @ Bugle's post qualifying interview and Disconnectogiz's poorly disquised rage quit

I gotta say that was a very professional job you OzSport blokes did tonight, your efforts are much appreciated, top job! I love events that get interfered with by a Race Controller :D It adds to the whole atmosphere and gives a much greater sense of realism. Excellent combo by the way, and perfect length race too. I had a blast :)

The actual race itself was quite uneventful for me actually apart from the first few and last few laps I was basically on my own a few seconds behind Tim (smurf) and a few infront of Ben and John (wabbit & JTM) after their earlier incidents. I thought I might just hold on to my position towards the end but wabbit came storming home in the final laps and passed me with 1 to go. At this time we had both caught Smurf so it was a 3 way battle to the finish on the final lap, awesome stuff :D

by the way are you guys going to do stats too?

Haha yeah that interview was pretty funny, sorry Buges to put you on the spot like that!

I saw some of that battle, was great to watch ;)

Yeah flinty will run the stats, we need to decide however how much of these race results we are going to let out of the bag. Perhaps we will just answer requests for stats etc on a person-by-person basis, rather than splashing who won etc all over the internet. I know I don't enjoy F1 races as much when I accidentally find out the result beforehand.

interesting race on my end. Excellent effort though and great format =].

However i reckon the forward direction would be better but that's just personal preference. =]

overall great effort.
