Dude, find the money for some A1's, they are worth every cent, I haven't had to recalibrate mine once since I've had em not counting the initial setup and that was close to 18 months ago. They are built like the proverbial brick shit house!

You guys do realise you can still look at 90 degrees right?
You press and hold the direction you want to look, and then press the other look button at the same time! :)

I think the issue with most ppl, like me is that when driving H pattern or Seq stick shift & having the paddles as look left/right on my G25 wheel it is quite difficult to hit both paddle buttons while shifting gears :(

I use the front wheel buttons on my momo.. so I dont see this would be an issue for me :) What do you use the wheel buttons for on the G25? pit limiter? move it to the shifter :)

edit: guess the same problem would apply when using H shifter to change gear tho eh

You don't have to choose. A1 pedals are australian made and a better product, best of both worlds

$695.70 For the BRD versus $269.00 for the A1's. He could buy a set of pedals and a G25 for that price

My wheel buttons are for Pit Limiter (or handbrake for rally) and the other for PTT on TS.
But still wouldn't help like you said I would still need 3 hands :)

EDIT: I have a work around anyway, just map the button combo into profiler as one wheel button for each direction & problem solved. :)

I use the paddles for shifting, and the two buttons for looking (G25) No problems here. Altough reaching over to the h shifter for TS is annoying.

Plus as mentioned above, same problem with the h shifter :rolleyes:

And also, taking the finger out of the nose... :rolleyes:

Are the A1s Fully adjustable? as in changeable spring rates, dampers and pedal travel?

As promised, here's an AutoHotkey script to do 90 degree looks left and right. Although you can do this in the Logitech profiler, I try to stay away from using that horrible thing.

Code: Select all

; - Left --
joy3::
send {left down}{right down}
keywait joy3
send {left up}{right up}
return

; - Right --
joy4::
send {right down}{left down}
keywait joy4
send {right up}{left up}
return
Just chuck this into into a .ahk file and run it on startup.

Map left arrow to look left and right arrow to look right within LFS. You may need to replace joy3 & joy4 with the appropriate buttons on your wheel/joystick. I'm using a black Momo with the top two buttons as look left/right.

Only spring rates by interchanging them with stiffer or softer ones, no doubt the speed7's are better but 2-3 times better?

@ Fandango, I have a G25 and the A1 pedals and they're both great. The wheel is very nice and quite compact, definitely a class above the black momo I used to have. The A1 pedals are rock solid and the pedal layout is much better than the G25 ones, the brake and throttle are closer and properly offset so that heel-toeing is much easier and more natural. The A1 pedals will last a lifetime, the G25 wheel won't but it's very sturdy and I'd expect it to last a very long time. The G25 shifter is more flimsy but still very nice to have, mine is having a few issues though and may need to be sent back, fifth gear pops out on me atm.

On my G25 how I used to use it before they stuffed it up, is paddles for left/right, both together for rear view(which I like to use a lot, better than any mirrors), and the left button for handbrake, and the right button for Team Speak(much easier to press the button on wheel while trying to talk to your mates rather than having to reach for the shifter buttons.) And where my shifter is mounted it is very hard to reach most of the buttons when you need them in a hurry without losing your driving line.

:rofl: well done Shaun :)
South City :
Texture updates
Graphical updates
This is interesting, I would have thought since the City update was being developed for so long that it was all done but looks like they are still tinkering with it.

I also just found this on the LFS Forum:
Scawen from LFS Forum wrote:I don't have any plans to make any changes to physics before Patch Y. Patch Y must be out this week so I've just got a couple of days to fix a few more bugs, so there are then another couple of days in final testing with no more changes other than crashes and showstopper fixes.
