Been watchin some of the videos on the Vimeo site and It's got me quite excited for this. I think the biggest thing that's got me goin is the tracks. LFS (Hate to beat up on it but it is the only sim I've really raced) just didn't do it for me with the tracks... and that was from day one.
I dunno if it's cuz these are real tracks designed by real track designers who would probably know what they're doing and that gives it something else... I could never quite put my finger on why I didn't like the tracks in LFS.

And they have Laguna Seca! Laguna Seca FFS! :D

I also like the sound of the "FIRST" thing that promotes safe driving. Seems like a really good idea. Some idiot who wants to ruin everyone's race or just drive like a dangerous shit during races will simply be left behind.

Ive never particularly liked the LFS tracks either. They have shit all undulations, i must say this is the first sim that represents the true slope of a race track most leguna seca models are flat as, its a seriously hilly place.

Does anybody know when we are going to be invited? Is it still a while away? Any confirmed date as of yet?

The best indication I could find on the RSC iRacing forum was "at least a week" from last Friday.

The next rookie series starts on 26th of June or somewhere round there so you'd think they'd have organised to have people well and truely invited by then.

well you may not see champcar, but probably some variation of it. I think iracing will push to release current cars, as aposed to cars of the past. So I reckon you are more likely to see it in it's modern day form, whatever they call it now.. is it Indianalabamadingdongchumpcar or something?
